Signs Your A/C May Need Service
If you’re experiencing any of these issues, it might be time to schedule an A/C service with Auto Biz:
- Hot air blowing from the vents
- No air coming from the vents at all
- Unusual noises when the A/C kicks on
- A musty odor coming from the vents
Common Issues with A/C
When you bring your vehicle to Auto Biz for service, one of our ASE Certified Mechanics will perform a thorough performance check and diagnose the issue with your A/C.
The most common problems we find usually come from one of the following:
Leaking refrigerant – If your A/C isn’t blowing cold air, there may be a leak in the system, often at the hose connections of the A/C unit.
Blocked or broken condenser – A blocked or damaged condenser prevents the refrigerant from re-cooling properly after compression, leading to hot air blowing through your vents.
Broken compressor – The compressor pressurizes the refrigerant to cool the air and keeps it moving. If it’s damaged, the A/C won’t work correctly.
Broken fans – If your cooling fan isn’t working, the condenser can overheat, causing the A/C to blow hot air instead of cool air.
Electrical issues – We’ll inspect the wiring, fuses, and temperature sensors to ensure everything is properly connected and functioning.
